Southern Lights

I left for Southern Lights (SL) at 12:10 from work (Stupid people asking me questions when I was meant to leave grr...). Anyway, the journey was fine... tube to Waterloo, train to Wareham and lift with Tim to the site. The only complaint being how my bag was mysteriously heavy when I'm pretty sure I had packed the lightest for a long while...

I set up camp with the usual suspects (Tim, Sandy, Merlyn, Oli...). The Friday night was pretty chilled. Me and Ellie finished off half a bottle of Amaretto and a couple of cans of cider. We watched the F.L.A.M.E boys' show, i enjoyed the light bit - was interesting to see something a little different in a fire show. Some people by me were commenting about glow in a fire show, but that's just pedantic in my opinion.
We also bopped around for a while to the DJ.

In the morning I got up quite early because the sun - not that I was complaining!! Me and Anna went for our usual convention/festival girly chat walk. We aimed for the beach, and ended up down some completely overgrown non-existant path where we were stung by nettles, scratched by brambles and bitten by giant killer ants of doom (or wood ants). It was good though, we spent over an hour wandering around (or running).

Sometime around midday I did some passing which turned into 4 person passing, then developed into some 7 person passing. We did some fun patterns!

After the uber passing session, we decided to play some volley club. 2 hours later - after we all were dehydrated and sunburnt we thought it best to have a break!!

Flame Oz were good... I had seen most of the routines before though so I didn't have the first time amazingness. Although they were late on due to tech problems (don't we all know that feeling!) so to entertain us Kia decided to get naked (although I think she was naked before then but covered in a blanket).
Later that night I danced my feet off to some great music. I don't know who the first DJ was but it was good. Then Reza DJ'd a great set! hadn't heard his Psytrance yet but it was a little bit dark (which I love...)

Sunday morning I had to escape my sauna... (tent). It was still pretty early so there weren't too many people around. Me and Joe chatted for a while, slowly people emerged and joined in. At somepoint Rob and Ros came and tried to get us to do a warm up. I went and got my jumper - a much less energetic warm up!

When the rain came we hid under Merlyn's tarp to have a sunflower seed eating workshop.

Once the sun had come back we continued our epic volleyclub game for another hour or so. The rain came back with vegance so i caught the end of Nizlopi.

Then the worst came... home time :(

Thanks to everyone there & the lovely F.L.A.M.E boys =D
